| Protocol | Protein block can be used to reduce background staining due to non-specific binding of the primary or secondary antibodies to the tissue. The protein block should be applied immediately prior to the primary antibody. 1. Add sufficient protein block (1-2 drops) to cover each tissue section entirely and incubate for 20 min at room temperature 2. Drain excess liquid off the slides. There is no need to rinse the tissue. Slides are now ready for application of primary antibody |
