Biosite Brand | Biosite Flow |
Country Availability | all |
Clone | A8B5 |
Clone Type | monoclonal |
Conjugation | FITC |
Description | Anti-Hu Ig Kappa Light Chain FITC |
Recommended Dilution | The purified antibody is conjugated with Fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) under optimum conditions. The reagent is free of unconjugated FITC and adjusted for direct use. No reconstitution is necessary. |
Supplier | Nordic Biosite |
Format | FITC |
Isotype | IgG1 |
Keywords | Immunoglobulins (Human) |
Notes | Immunoglobulin classes share the same basic four polypeptide chain structure of two heavy chains (five heavy chains types) and two light chains (kappa, lambda; both having a molecular weight of 22.5kDa). Kappa and lambda consist of a variable region and a constant region and can easily be differentiated by the antigenic properties of the constant region. The ratio of kappa to lambda is 70:30. |
Alias Names | Immunoglobulin kappa, Igk |

Product Type | Antibodies Primary |
Protocol | Flow cytometry: The reagent is designed for analysis of human blood cells using 20 μl reagent / 100 μl of whole blood or 106 cells in a suspension. The content of a vial (2 ml) is sufficient for 100 tests. |
Purification | Purified antibody is conjugated with fluorescein isothiocyanate (FITC) under optimum conditions and unconjugated antibody and free fluorochrome are removed by size-exclusion chromatography. |
Size | 100 tests |
Source / Host | mouse |
Species Reactivity | human |
Storage | Store at 2-8°C. Protect from prolonged exposure to light. Do not freeze. |
Substrate / Buffer | Stabilizing phosphate buffered saline (PBS), pH 7.4, 15 mM sodium azide |
Technical Specifications | The mouse monoclonal antibody A8B5 reacts with kappa light chains (22.5 kDa) of immunoglobulins. |
