Immunogen | Human IgD |
Isotype | IgG2a k |
Notes | Immunoglobulin D (IgD) is expressed on the surface of naive mature B cells, thus later than IgM, and is coexpressed with it then. Triggered by antigen binding, it signals through the CD79 complex to activate the B cells. Expression of IgD is lost after the isotype switch. Soluble IgD is present in very small amounts in the serum. IgD can bind to basophils and mast cells to activate them in an IgE-independent way to participate in respiratory immune defense. |
Alias Names | Immunoglobulin D |
Product Type | Antibodies Primary |
Protocol | Flow cytometry: The reagent is designed for analysis of human blood cells using 4 μl reagent / 100 μl of whole blood or 106 cells in a suspension. The content of a vial (0.4 ml) is sufficient for 100 tests. |
Purification | Purified antibody is conjugated with activated tandem dye of activated Peridinin-Chlorophyll Protein-Cyanine 5.5 (PerCP-Cy™5.5) under optimum conditions and unconjugated antibody and free fluorochrome are removed by size-exclusion chromatography. |
