Notes LK2H10 antibody to chromogranin stains both, hormone secreting cells (except for neurohypophysis) and all tumours derived from endocrine glands. Less intense staining is usually found in small cell lung carcinoma (SCLC), Merkel cell carcinoma and Neuroblastoma. Chromogranin is a marker of the diffuse neuroendocrine system, since it is a constituent of most secretory granula of endocrine cells It was detected as the main component of chromaffin cells in the adrenal medulla.
