When Cell-Free DNA Meets RRBS

news August 31 2020

Circulating cell-free DNA (cfDNA) in blood holds great potential for cancer detection, as highlighted by a DNA methylation-based, cfDNA multi-cancer early detection test that is being prepared for prospective clinical investigation. 1

Though cfDNA is highly fragmented, the Zymo-Seq RRBS Library Kit has successfully used plasma cfDNA as the starting material to generate libraries for reduced representation bisulfite sequencing. This user-friendly kit allows researchers to:

  • Generate libraries from as little as 10 ng of cfDNA
  • Detect over 2 million unique CpG Sites (≥5X)
  • Obtain reproducible methylation values
